For real estate agents, collaboration is not a new thing. Agents can collaborate with other agents on new listings, open houses, and with mortgage lenders when marketing them, just to name a few. CoTweets will help agents extend their Twitter reach, allowing them to co-author a single tweet with another agent, brand, or company.
A Twitter spokesperson, via TechCrunch stated, “We’re continuing to explore new ways for people to collaborate on Twitter,” a spokesperson for Twitter said. “We’re testing CoTweets for a limited time to learn how people and brands may use this feature to grow and reach new audiences, and strengthen their collaborations with other accounts.”
When making a Tweet, you will have the option to invite another user to co-author it. If they accept, both accounts will be shown as the author of the Tweet, effectively increasing your reach to not only your audience but theirs as well.

Imagine listing a property, and you and your co-list or your preferred lender having the option to co-author a Tweet, increasing the impact it has and the potential buyer pool it reaches.
It is important to note that CoTweets are only in the testing phase for a limited number of users, and there is currently no date for if or when it will be released. Though, we are excited to see Twitter looking into more ways for businesses to market themselves and collaborate online.
Do you like the idea of this feature? Do you see it as a valuable tool for growing your real estate business and collaborating with others on Twitter?
